All children at Ahuroa School have access to an immense library collection, the Auckland Public Library. Children at Ahuroa School are prolific readers, and in 2010 we made the bold decision to close our own small library and instead access the larger public library collection. Our children now have free access to resources from 55 different libraries - a total of 3.5 million library resources!

At least once a month, every child at Ahuroa visits the Warkworth Library. Weekly visits are made (one class per week), and a drop off and pick up service is carried out. Children are taught how to search for and reserve books online and then by simply providing their library card, their books are delivered to their classroom.

The online Auckland Digital Library offers free ebooks that children can download directly to their devices.
